Joy Letters

🦩 slow currents 🦩

Guten Tag, Reader,

Things have been slow ever since I returned from the river.

And with “things” I am referring to my thoughts (and their slowing is a relief), my body (its slowness a variable in my daily movement patterns), and my work rhythms (which really requires me to filter out all the non-essential stuff).

But if rivers have taught me anything, it’s that the current is always moving.

It may not appear to be the case on the surface.

But you know that the river will reach the ocean.

There will be rapids and lakes along the way.

Right now, everything except my writing and the printed Advent Calendar deck is swirling in an eddy of ideas: programs, collaborations, website updates, classes to take and teach…

But if you have ever been mesmerized by a stick caught in an eddy, you know that eventually it will be pulled back into the current, catching momentum.

For now, there are two things I want to share with you

My love letter to the Rogue River

The Rogue River swept my heart downstream. All that’s left are better questions.

My Advent Calendar Deck

Thank you to each of you who has placed a pre-order. Knowing that my work resonates with you means everything right now.

If you would like to secure your deck before the shop goes live next week, please let me know here. You’ll also receive my next behind-the-scenes email with ACTUAL photos of the ACTUAL deck!!!

Tell Me

Before I see you back in your inbox in two weeks, I'd love to know:

🦦 What current is quietly moving you?

⏩ And what would you like to see change a little faster?

Always on your side, truly,

p.s. If you found something valuable in today's letter, why not buy me a coffee? I am keeping my writing AI-free, which means a lot of creativity goes into it. You can leave a tip for me here.
